Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum operating depth of this product?
The maximum operating depth depends on the tank size:
0.5L–1L Tanks: Suitable for use up to 5 meters (16 feet). When used with a full-face mask, the maximum depth is 3 meters (10 feet).
2L Tanks: Suitable for use up to 10 meters (33 feet).
How long does a full tank last?
Breathing time varies depending on depth, activity level, and breathing rate. On average, 0.5L tanks provide approximately 6–10 minutes of air at shallow depths. 1L tanks offer around 15–20 minutes, while 2L tanks may last 30–35 minutes.
Always monitor your pressure gauge during use. If the pressure gauge shows less than 2 MPa, return to the surface and refill before diving again.
Is certification required to use this product?
While certification is not required for shallow use, it is strongly recommended that all users receive proper instruction and certification from an accredited diving training agency. Improper use may lead to serious injury or death.
Can I use this product in cold water?
This product is designed for use in waters with temperatures above 10°C (50°F). Do not use in colder conditions.
Can I travel with this product?
Yes. Due to high-pressure regulations, cylinders must be empty and detached from the respirator when traveling by air. Always check with your airline’s policy beforehand.
What kind of air can I fill the tank with?
Only fill this tank with compressed air that meets human respiratory standards (EN12021). Do not use oxygen or other gases, as they may damage the internal system and pose safety risks.
What other precautions should I take before diving?
Before each dive, inspect the tank for any signs of damage or leaks and confirm it is fully pressurized. Do not use the product if it appears damaged or malfunctioning.
Never dive alone. Always dive with a partner to ensure safe operation.
Users over the age of 60 must obtain medical clearance from a doctor prior to use. This product is not suitable for pregnant individuals or those with medical conditions that make diving unsafe.
How often does the tank need servicing?
Have the product serviced annually by a professional. The gas cylinder requires a hydrostatic test every 5 years and should undergo visual inspection at least once a year.

S300Plus 0.5L Mini Scuba Tank
It is a good product, but it is very difficult to fill it with the hand pump.
This tank is lightweight and easy to carry. It has sufficient air storage capacity, allowing me to stay underwater longer and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the seabed. During use, the air is discharged smoothly, the adjustment is convenient, and the breathing is very smooth without any sense of oppression. Moreover, the tank is made of solid material and fine workmanship, giving people a full sense of security!
I use it because my wife was learning and consumes my air so i always ended up gasping for air in the safety stop. Now i know i have 5-10 mins there while waiting for the 3 mins stop ;)
Just tried it in our swimming pool and this works. Filled the air up with my air compressor. It takes getting used to breathing with it as I prefer the full face snorkel masks but the learning curve wasn't bad at all. Air capacity is about 5-8 mins as ymmv. I will try it on our hawaii trip next month and will report back!
I do quite a bit of salvage diving here in Florida and some of it is using a hookah system having a back up to that is imperative. This set up is exactly what is needed and functions flawlessly. Everything is included in the box so all you have to do is fill it up and go. Since we have a compressor on board, it's easy to fill and I have tested it. Underwater quite a few times and has function perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase. I feel it will be a quality item for quite some time
Optic yellow is easy to see, even in dark murky water. Fit my compressor perfectly and filled easily
Slowy loses air, but works well. Need a compressor though. I have one….
This tank is great little unit! It assembled very easily just thread the regulator into the cylinder. The oring seal was even installed already and it came with spare set of seals. The tank filled very easily from a standard aluminum 80. This unit holds more air than competitor tanks and for less money! Gauge is easy to read under water and it breathes quite well. Never going diving again without this little guy on my BCD.
No easy way to refill it. Can't hook it up to a compressor and using the hand pump takes way too long.
I had to return this product only because it was not what I needed but this seller allowed me to return it with pre-paid shipping. I was very grateful and this seller stands by their product is understanding that mistakes by buyers happen.
Works great just have to pump a lot
It looks great. I did pressurize the tank and boy that took a lot of effort. I had to stretch it out over an entire day. This was purchased for an emergency use and I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet. When the weather is warm I will practice with it but since Amazon keeps pressuring me for a review, I am providing a review. Maybe after I actually use it I will provide a better more in depth review.
Great packaging And amazing product!!
Takes a bit to hand pump it to pressure but it is exactly what is described. Spare air for in case of emergency
Portable and easy to use
Some assembly required, extra parts included. No leaks. More than 400 pump strokes one fill. Gets harder to pump as pressure increases
Product shipped relatively fast for coming from out of the country. Very well built. Works as described.
I used the Smaco successfully and swimming underwater in my pool.
I bought this to use for very short dives to recover lost disc golf discs. It takes me 45 minutes to fill the bottle. Not continuous I pump between 25 and 75 pumps in about 1-2 minutes then rest and do something else while the pump cools down. In 5-10 minutes I come back and do it again. in 45 minutes to an hour I am up to 3000 psi. It only gives me 3-7 minutes down at 20 feet or so. But as the title says, it does what it was designed for. To say the documentation sucks would be an insult to sucks. Fortunately I have some experience in these type of things and was able to get it to work properly. It comes with a bunch of spare seals, o-rings, filter media and other goodies. But again NO documentation on how to install the parts. My regulator leaked from the start but I was able to take it apart and use one of the supplied replacement parts to get it to work correctly...
Great little tank ! Very exhausting to use the pump to fill it up but it's totally worth it.
Works great for the month I have used it. I use this to clean the hull of my boat in the water so the 10 min or so it lasts is plenty. The tank does come unassembled and does not include an adapter to fill, so just be prepared. Luckily I already had an adapter so I am able to fill from my large scuba tanks. So far it has held pressure between fills with no problems. All materials appear to be decent quality. The pressure relief valve has worked every time I needed it to. All in all it works well for what I want.
So far so good. Well constructed aluminum mini tank. I filled with an adaptor from a larger tank w/ yoke valve. No issues with leaking so far but I am skeptical about the longevity of the gasket. Plan to pickup some equivalent spares from my local dive shop. I only plan to use this in shallow depths of less than 10' (local Florida springs) and as an emergency backup. Going to look into replacing the regulator. Not a huge fan of the integrated gauge but no issues at all so far. I will update this review as I continue to use. Note this is not a replacement for traditional dive equipment but and excellent safety backup. Safety first.
Message for THAMS - if you bought this package, its just a tank. Also, the pumps that come with the tank arent good. If you paid 120 dollars, all you will get is the tank. This tank is actually insane for the price! It is made in a different country, but it still exceeded my expectations! It is so easy to put together... just screw in the mouth piece and pump it up! I had a small leak somewhere in the regulator, so i got in contact with the seller. After about 4 days of back and forth, the seller replaced the breathing valve at no charge. I will definitely buy this in the future and spread the word about it to friends!
This is a amazing system. I can put it all in my checked luggage and take it to the most remote places in the world. But, let me explain what you are getting into in case math and physics wasn't your strong point in HS. The tank holds 3 cubic foot of air. That's a finite amount. It is not a full sized dive tank. You are looking at 3 minutes or less of air if you breath like you do on the surface under mild activity. That being said, I can sit pretty still under the pier or swim raft watching fish, and get 12 minutes at about one breath per 30 sec. Figure 5-7 minutes if your just swimming around and putting some effort into controlling your air usage. Then their's the pump. Up until recently, the only way to generate 3000+psi of air pressure was to have a $5000 multi stage 3 phase air compressor. Obviously not something most divers can buy and have in their garage. And where I dive in SE Asia, I need to take a motorcycle, a barge to the mainland, and a taxi to the dive shop to get a tank refilled...
Directions were a bit brief although published in many languages. Had to trouble shoot a leaky fitting but a little pipe dope did the trick on the rapid connector fitting to the hand pump line. Tried it once today with success in the pool. If holds up in the ocean I may order more.
